About George

When lives were on the line, George never hesitated.

George McClellan is a firefighter, an ICU nurse, and a lifelong Metro East community volunteer. As an Assistant Fire Chief and an ICU nurse in hospitals around our region, George built his life around one simple idea: when your neighbors need help, you show up.

He's running for State Representative because too many families here are working harder than ever and falling further behind — while political insiders and special interests put their agendas ahead of our needs. George will bring the same courage and decisive leadership to Springfield that he brought to every emergency call: fighting for lower costs, better healthcare, and a state that works for working families.

Why This Race Matters

The Metro East deserves a voice that fights for us.

The 114th District is Belleville, East St. Louis, Cahokia Heights, O'Fallon, Fairview Heights, Shiloh, Swansea, Mascoutah, Millstadt, Scott Air Force Base, and the communities in between. For generations, this seat belonged to leaders who fought for the Metro East. Today, families here are squeezed by rising property taxes, grocery bills, and insurance rates — and Springfield feels further away than ever.

2,000 In 2024, this seat was decided by only 2,000 votes.
